The biggest shopping week of the year is coming up - Black Friday is on November 28, 2025!

Forecast: How consumers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland will behave on Black Friday
For many Europeans, Black Week is an integral part of their shopping calendar. Studies and opinion polls provide a detailed insight: What budgets do people want to spend? Which products are particularly popular? Here is a quick overview:
Germany
- Germans are planning to spend less money on Black Friday this year than last year. Nevertheless, the average budget is just under 300 euros, according to a survey by the price portal Idealo.
- 65 percent of those surveyed plan to shop on Black Friday.
- Electronics remain the most popular product category, with 84% of respondents planning to buy them on Black Friday. This is followed by Clothing (78 percent) and hobby and leisure supplies (76 percent).
Austria
- Increase: 63 percent of Austrians want to take advantage of special offers. In the previous year: 60 percent
- Increase II: On average, they want to spend 294 euros. 29 euros more than in the previous year.
- The latest Retail Association Consumer Check shows that per capita spending is particularly high in the federal states of Tyrol and Vorarlberg at 334 euros. Lower Austria and Burgenland bring up the rear with 257 euros each.
- 44 percent of shoppers plan to shop exclusively online.
