Jonas Schrepfer has been supporting the Digital Solutions department in Customer Service as a trainee for a few days now. After the b.welcome days had to take place remotely this year due to the corona situation, Jonas now experienced his first (and for the time being only) office day on site in Burgkunstadt. Of course, in compliance with all applicable hygiene and distancing rules. This allowed him to meet at least two of his future colleagues in his first training department "live and in color" and get a first impression on site.

Dear Jonas, welcome to the BAUR Group. A-levels, 18th birthday, start of training - these special events were on the agenda for you in the Corona year 2020. How did you experience the start of your apprenticeship in the BAUR Group in particular?

"The start of my training was something very special for me. The b.welcome days took place remotely, i.e. from the home office. Of course, I would have loved to have met all my fellow trainees and training managers in person. But even remotely, we were all given a really great welcome to the company and the special program on the welcome days made for an exciting start to my new phase of life."

Your first departmental assignment as a prospective digitalization management assistant is now with us in Customer Service, specifically in the Digital Solutions department. Christopher and Matthias from the Requirements & Reporting team welcomed you to the office on your first day. Like your colleagues, you are now working from home. What are your expectations and what are you looking forward to?

"It was a great idea that I was able to meet Christopher and Matthias in person on my first day in the department. I'm also looking forward to seeing the whole team on site. Working remotely is almost normal for me now, I don't know any other way. Teamwork via MS Teams is already working really well. I'm looking forward to everything I can learn here."

Christopher and Matthias, you have already met Jonas in person. What will the remote induction look like now, how will you organize the support?

"Yes, we had decided in advance in the team to welcome Jonas to the office in person despite the current situation so that he can get a first impression of the premises and at least part of the team. Jonas' induction and support will take place remotely until further notice. This is also new territory for us. Everyone in the team will take their time and set up slots with their own areas of specialization to show Jonas the full range of topics covered by our Requirements & Reporting team. Of course, he will also take part in our daily and weekly calls so that he is directly involved in the day-to-day business and can contribute to team discussions. We also get him involved in our daily routine work via MS Teams so that he recognizes and understands the connections within Requirements & Reporting. Despite the circumstances, we are very much looking forward to integrating Jonas into our team and teaching him many things that will help him in the course of his training."

What is Jonas' first task and how can he support Team R&R?

"Jonas will soon be able to support us with the first routine tasks in the morning, such as providing external reports to clients or importing data for finance outbound telephony. We are always under a bit of time pressure in these areas and are happy to have some relief."
