Trainees of the BAUR Group have voted - The JAV introduces itself

The BAUR Group's youth and trainee representatives represent trainees and dual students vis-à-vis the employer and work closely with the works council. The five members of our new JAV were elected on November 15, 2022. But why five? The size of the youth and trainee representative body depends on the number of eligible voters, e.g. if there are 51 - 150 eligible voters, the JAV consists of five people. All employees under the age of 18 and all those in vocational training who are not older than 25 are eligible to vote. As there were exactly 60 eligible voters in the BAUR Group for the 2022 JAV election, our JAV consists of five members.

Can only those who are eligible to vote stand for election? No, because any employee under the age of 25 can stand for election. It is therefore irrelevant whether the person is a trainee, intern or permanent employee.

First and foremost, the youth and trainee representatives look after the well-being of the trainees and the correct treatment of them. It also ensures that applicable laws, regulations and collective agreements are complied with. If trainees do have problems, they can turn to the JAV, which will try to find a suitable solution for both sides.

Essentially, these are the tasks of the youth and trainee representatives:

• Advises young people and trainees on issues relating to work and training
• Ensures compliance with labor laws and collective agreements
• Conducts workshops for trainees
• Receives suggestions from young employees and trainees
• Attends works council meetings and may have the right to vote

Which department are you currently in?
I am currently supporting Max and Leonie in the training team, where I mainly take care of trade fair appearances, seminar planning and time management for the trainees

What would you like to achieve in the JAV or what motivates you?
I am motivated by the close cooperation with my trainee colleagues. I'm really looking forward to being a point of contact for our newbies and "old hands" in the future. My aim is also to create a sense of togetherness among the trainees during the home office period and to strengthen cohesion and personal contact with each other. I always want to have an open ear for the concerns, needs, wishes and fears of all trainees. I'm really looking forward to the time ahead and the tasks and challenges that come with it

I've been working in Online Marketing in SEA and Display since September.

What would you like to achieve in the JAV and what motivates you?
I am understanding, helpful and want to be a contact person that everyone can approach with their concerns. I'm looking forward to this new responsibility and being involved in new projects.

What would you like to achieve in the JAV or what motivates you?
I would like to get the JAV more into the minds of the trainees and young employees so that I can be an open point of contact for problems or questions.

What would you like to achieve in the JAV or what motivates you?
To be the mouthpiece for young people and trainees and to bring positive change to the BAUR Group!

My main motivation is to take on responsibility.
