In this blog post, you have the opportunity to talk to Amelie, who is currently completing her apprenticeship as an office management assistant. She shares with us her experiences, challenges and the exciting insights she has gained during her training
Hello Amelie, can you briefly introduce yourself?
My name is Amelie and I' ve been training to be an office management assistant since September. I come from Burgkunstadt and I love having picnics on a green meadow - preferably with people I like.

Why this apprenticeship and why at BAUR?
I have always liked BAUR. I've been told before that BAUR provides good training and is a great company, that the people there are very nice and that I'll learn lots of interesting things there.
Is it everything you hoped it would be?
Yes, definitely. It's so much fun. People laugh together and are always friendly and personable.
Which department are you currently in and what does your typical working day look like?
I am in the VI-MV-CR-PS. My tasks include pattern distribution, editing retouching jobs or deleting images in the program called SAM. When I'm working from home, I'm very focused. I usually catch up on things in my home office that I didn't quite manage to do at school or in the office, for example. Sometimes, if I haven't understood a topic, I watch videos to help me understand it better.
What do you like best about the apprenticeship so far?
So far I've only been in one department and I really like it there. What I like best in my job is working alone. But also working in groups. Having responsibility is also one of my favorites.
Do you have any tips for applicants?
- Always be yourself and don't be afraid to ask questions if you have difficulties. Always believe in yourself and your abilities.
