What happens when purchasing, IT, marketing, and management leave their desks and take to the stage together? The result is Singing Witt—the Witt Group employee choir.

Since 2011, Singing Witt has been bringing together colleagues from all areas of the company through a shared passion: music.

After their first big concert with the Hof Symphony Orchestra at the Mission Event in the Max Reger Hall in Weiden, the choir knew one thing for sure: "This can't be a one-time experience!" Back then, no one could have imagined that the Singing Witt choir would develop such a powerful sound that has made it so popular in the region today. For 15 years now, they have been thrilling their audiences with unforgettable sounds.

Around 60 singers regularly fill concert halls with sound—with heart, humor, and impressive vocal power.

The choir is led by Stefanie Zühlke-Schmidt, who not only sets the musical tone as a state-certified choir director, but also held responsibility as managing director of the company until 2024. Choir director Stefanie has an ambitious vision that seems to become a little more real each time, and this is rewarded by the audience with consistently sold-out concerts. "It takes countless intensive rehearsals to bring an amateur choir to this high level," she emphasizes.

Singing Witt is no ordinary leisure choir: the group performs regularly in concerts, most of which are conceived as charity events. The proceeds from the performances are donated to charitable causes, including local initiatives, hospices, and international aid projects.

Here, colleagues meet on equal footing—not in the meeting room, but in the choir room. This creates connection, identification, and a great deal of pride. Every Tuesday at 5:00 p.m., they meet in their free time and leave business outside the rehearsal room.

The choir loves to present a wide range of music. From classical works to modern pop songs, everything is sung with passion. This blends tradition and contemporary sounds into a thrilling experience for singers and audience alike.

On Friday, February 6, Singing Witt will perform at St. Martin's Parish Church in Weismain – and it will be a very special concert: it is the choir's 50th concert!

The audience can look forward to a varied program of classical, pop, and rock music. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., and seating is unreserved – so it's worth arriving early to secure a good seat. Admission is free, but the parish welcomes any donations that will go toward the renovation and restoration of the church organ at St. Martin.
