It certainly won't be boring in July: whether you fancy traditional folk festivals, exciting cultural events or cozy evenings - there's something for everyone this month. Here is an overview of the highlights you shouldn't miss.

The two-day singer-songwriter festival "Lieder auf Banz - ein Abend mit Freunden" has now firmly established itself and is firmly anchored in the hearts and minds of visitors. On the first weekend in July, it creates an exuberant atmosphere on the monastery meadow in Bad Staffelstein. This unique open-air festival is characterized in particular by the fantastic backdrop, great atmosphere, good music and the picnic flair that prevails on the meadow.

Since its inception in 1979, the Kulmbach Old Town Festival has traditionally always taken place on the first weekend in July in the picturesque center of Kulmbach. For three days, the historic town center is transformed into a large dance and festival stage with a great musical and culinary program.

The Naturraum Open Air at Lake Fichtelsee is a big party with techno music and a craft market on the shores of Lake Fichtelsee that attracts around 3,500 guests. Party, electro, techno and house music, sun and sand meet culinary delights, nature, health, art, culture and tradition. The Naturraum Open Air sets a colorful and loud example for the Ochsenkopf communities.

The Schlossplatzfest takes place in a historic setting between the Landestheater, Palais Edinburgh and Ehrenburg Castle. Traditionally, the Coburg Schlossplatzfest is a party and a wide variety of specialties are offered in white food tents. Entertainment is provided on the music stage by top bands and on the show stage with live acts and regional artists.

Every summer, Bayreuth becomes the cultural center for the artistic exploration of Richard Wagner's music. The Bayreuth Festival has made the city just as internationally renowned as its singers, conductors, directors and stage designers.

The Hof Folk Festival is one of the largest of its kind far and wide and has long been an integral part of the Hof calendar. With attractions for young and old, a cozy atmosphere, a great music program and, above all, many culinary delicacies, it delights thousands of visitors every year. Guests come from near and far to the festival grounds between Nailaer Straße and Ernst-Reuter-Straße.

Celebrations are held in the shady oak forest in over twenty picturesque historic beer cellars: with around 30,000 seats, the Kellerwald offers enough space for around 450,000 to 500,000 guests during the eleven-day festival so that everyone can find a comfortable place. Visitors can sample hearty snacks and hot Franconian cuisine or international specialties to accompany the cool Franconian beer from 15 different Franconian breweries.

On the last Saturday in July, the "Kulmbach Beer Week" is always the absolute event highlight in the "secret capital of beer", which not only the people of Kulmbach but also many regular guests from all over Europe look forward to for a whole year. For nine days, around 120,000 visitors celebrate one big party with great show bands, good food and, of course, the excellent Kulmbach beer. The Kulmbach Beer Week - probably the most traditional and beautiful beer festival of its kind!
