Further development of the organization: empiriecom relies on managers from its own ranks

Ten years ago, exactly on March 1, 2015, empiriecom officially launched its business activities. Since then, the subsidiary of the BAUR Group has developed into a successful full-service e-commerce partner that supports clients within and outside the Otto Group. The approximately 100 employees are organized in agile teams. Its activities focus on state-of-the-art solutions for online stores in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands.

To mark its tenth anniversary, empiriecom is presenting a further development of the organization and is relying on managers who come exclusively from its own ranks. The reorganization has no impact on the workforce. The previous team structures will also remain unchanged, as will the areas of responsibility and roles of the employees. Ralf Männlein (CEO) will continue to be responsible for the management; Claudia Biedermann-Schalkhäuser (Head of Platform Services) and Udo Bischof (Head of Site Engineering) will continue to head their respective divisions.

Christian is a trained IT specialist for application development and has been with the BAUR Group since 2011. Previously, he worked at T-Systems, managed his own company and worked as a freelancer. At empiriecom, he initially acted as "Senior Backend Developer" and since 2022 also as "Lead Developer Backend". From September 2023, he took on the role of "Head of Platform Services Backend" and was responsible for empiriecom's "Platform Services" together with Claudia Biedermann-Schalkhäuser.
