International Day of Tolerance - Living diversity together

Yesterday, November 16, we celebrated the International Day of Tolerance worldwide - an occasion that reminds us of the importance of respect, openness and mutual understanding in our daily interactions.
Tolerance means recognizing differences and treating each other with respect - whether in the private sphere, in society or in the workplace.
Diversity in origin, age, gender, religion, opinion or lifestyle can enrich our cooperation and open up new perspectives.
This day has its origins in the UNESCO Declaration of Human Rights of 1995, which draws attention to the importance of respect, equality and peaceful coexistence.
The goal:
A working environment in which everyone feels safe, respected and heard.
On this day, it is worth consciously reflecting on your own approach to diversity:
- Do you actively listen to others without immediately judging?
- Do you meet different opinions with interest?
- Do you recognize differences as an opportunity for exchange and understanding?

If you feel discriminated against in the workplace, be courageous and contact your line manager, the works council, the HR department or AGG officers (contact persons in the company who provide advice on discrimination in the workplace).
By showing respect and openness in everyday life, we contribute to constructive and appreciative cooperation.
